📋 Overview

Notifications have been rebuilt from the ground up. There's now a notification center inside Nolt, and email has moved to digests that group related activity, so busy boards no longer flood inboxes.

✨ What's new

Notifications bell: A bell in the board menu (next to Activity and Moderation) shows your unread count. Open it to see new comments, replies, status changes, assignments, and mentions, each linking straight to the post.
Live updates: New notifications arrive in real time and the unread count updates without a refresh. Items are marked as read as you scroll past them.
Email digests: Comment, post, status, assignment, and moderation emails are batched into a single digest per window instead of one email per event. Anything you've already read in-app is left out of the digest.
Keep the old behaviour if you prefer: Under Board settings → Feedback board → Board email notifications, there's a Legacy notification system toggle that switches the board back to one-email-per-event notifications.
Built to be reliable: Digests are processed through a worker queue, and any pending batches are recovered automatically after a restart.

🚀 Where to find it

Look for the bell in your board's menu. It's already on for everyone.
Your personal email preferences still live under Account settings → Notifications.
To return a board to per-event emails, open Board settings → Feedback board → Board email notifications and enable Legacy notification system.

Digest timing is tuned to balance promptness and noise; let us know how it feels on your board.
