📋 Overview

Keeping a public board civil shouldn't be a full-time job. AI moderation screens every new post and comment as it comes in and sets aside anything that looks harmful, so your team only reviews what actually needs a look. It sits alongside the manual moderation and profanity filter options you already have, and answers a long-standing request on our board: Automated moderation.

✨ What's new

Automatic screening: Content is checked in the background moments after it's submitted, using an AI moderation model tuned for harassment, hate, self-harm, sexual, and violent content. Clean content publishes as normal.
Straight to the queue: Flagged items land in your Moderation queue (the Moderation button in the board menu) with the reason highlighted, and the moderation modal now lists any files attached to a comment so you can review everything in one place.
Graceful fallback: If the AI service is unavailable or rate-limited, Nolt falls back to your manual moderation flow and notifies your team, so nothing slips through and nothing gets stuck.
Resilient by design: Checks are retried on transient failures, and any jobs interrupted by a restart are picked up again automatically.

🚀 Where to find it

Go to Board settings → People and privacy → Moderation.
Turn on Enable AI moderation. There's a help icon right next to the toggle if you want the details.
Review flagged items from the Moderation queue as they arrive: approve, reject, or ban.
