User Interface Distractions#867

I noticed Two Optical Distractions that either Draw Attention when One Needs Focus or are Annoying because they Move The Layout.

  1. Suggestions for Existing Posts when Typing the Title of a New Post.

They vertically Expand and Retract the Entire Popup View which is Annoying, Distracting and Overall makes for bad UX.

For Conceptual Reference:
Moving or Shuffling Content Elements inside ANY Viewport is a Bad Idea.

  1. Slide-In Notifications in the Bottom Right Corner are way too Intrusive.

I agree that they look nice. But they are Way too much!
There’s a Good Reason why several Platforms choose to have nothing but a Small Red/Green Text appear at the Top Center saying either »offline« or »online«.

These Notifications also Induce Input Lag.

Soo:
Either make them Minimal ~ Or let the User Disable or Mute Notifications.
Though the Latter is a Workaround ~ Not a Solution.
