Can ban someone from a board. If someone is banned, he can’t upvote, comment and post new suggests.

Thank you for the suggestion! Have you experienced spam or abuse in on of your boards?
Not actually, but I think it can happen

We occasionally experience spam and it would definitely help with large boards.

IP address banning would be useful.

Hi i think it would be best if someone post craps or some spam so you can report him. And if someone have lot of reports or samothing admin look at that and he can ban him or whatever

We’re having issues with users trolling and posting spam. Currently, there’s no moderation tools provided, so we’re unable to remove them from our board. It’s making it difficult for us to read through comments that are respectable and provide meaning to the submitted suggestion.

@Quinn Please contact us at hello@nolt.io, and we’ll gladly help. Include the username of the troublemaker and a link to the spam content if available, so we can resolve this for you as quickly as possible.

I for one appreciate the ban feature because it helps me to keep discussion civil and eject anyone who refuses to behave in a mature and respectful manner.

@Stephen and admins abuse it. They allowed many people to curse me out and all over rust recommendations but when i revealed a very likely scheme of them encouraging stealing other players accounts to make more money, i got banned so they could cover it up

Moderation features are necessary to minimize spam and abuse.
@M L I understand that discussions on gaming boards can get intense. Nolt only provides the feedback board software - we don’t moderate boards directly (I would contact the game developer about any concerns). This thread is about the ban feature and not specific moderation decisions, so we can’t address such issues here. Please reach out to hello@nolt.io if you require further assistance.

@Amit from Nolt why are the restrictions so harsh by default tho? I mean one thing blocking posts or even responses, another to remove even the ability to vote. Especially when IP bans effect a whole household

yes ty

@M L I totally agree. I want banned users to vote.

I think it’s planned tho

@Daniel from Nolt Could it not use I.P. bans because I am on a public device where if I create an account without doing anything, I get banned.
