Allow users to report nolt bugs without emailing support. The gif bug still hasn’t been fixed and people are talking about it on other boards.

Yes, I agree.
Nolt is a great way to gather feedback and update customers on the status.
I’ve reported several bugs in the past but received zero information if the mail was received, and no indications whatsoever further down the road.
All of the bugs I reported have been fixed, but I only found out by coincidence.

Yeah!
This is a rather “unorganized” way of approaching Issue solving.
Which is pretty ironic since Nolt is a Feature Board but handles several other things poorly as of now. (No blame here but the UX of the Website has some big Ouch’s)

To @Nolt Staff:
I strongly reccommend using a GitHub Repo’s Issues to publicly track Bug Reports and such!
It’s not only a very flexible, powerful & transparent solution ~ it also allows for virtually infinite “Landing Page Content” through the README.md ~ and brings a Forum - like feature on top.
AFAIK, GitHub Issues also allow for “private” reports for things regarding crucial security issues and such.
If you’re not content with GitHub, you can simply use one of the many great and open alternatives such as Codeberg.org (free & open source Git Platform based on Gitea & hosted in Germany).

You could also use This Board for Everything from Features to Bugs.
But: If they’re critical you should give the one submitting them an access link where they can check it’s current status so they know what’s going on!
After all they took the effort and time to help you out. So keeping them up to date on the progress should be the least thing to do 😉

Not sure how many others are affected, but our nolt boards are unusable at the moment. (Application Errors, changes (labels, new posts, comments, etc) not saved persistently across all of our boards.
Using an external system for bug-issue tracking would be much appreciated.
We’ve reported this issue yesterday, but are yet waiting for any kind of update or even a fix. In any case, we are looking at this closely at the moment, keeping all options for the future open.

@Denis we pushed an update on Monday which included a lot of package and dependency updates (including security upgrades) - it passed all our tests (our testing suite runs on fresh boards) but it stangely caused issues for some existing boards. We pushed a few updates on Tuesday which should have fixed everything - can you let us know if you’re still facing any issues?

Just added a “Bug” tag here and in the new suggesion submission form!

@Amit from Nolt Thank you - yes, the issue was resolved by tuesday afternoon :)

If you settle on an external bug reporting and handling system, go for something decent, please. I guess something Git - based is the best bet.
Something like Bugzilla would likely be among the worst ^^
