Search into the Details too not just at the Title level#368

It would be good for Search capabilities to search into the details section and maybe into the comments section. This would offer more end user value and could alleviate duplicates when concepts are suggested but the wording is not the same in the title.

Thanks, Larry! The search functionality actually searches in the comments too. However, stopwords are being ignored, and matches in titles have a higher priority. By “details”, do you mean the content of custom fields?

Details being the additional information supplied as part of the description.
Agree with the exclusion of “stopwords”. However, looking at a suggestion and copy/paste a segment within it that I wouldn’t consider to be included in stopwords list is turning up no results when searching. As I attempt to make the value case for adoption stronger “search capabilities” was mentioned as a nice to have.

Hi Larry. My statement was incorrect. The search used to include comments, but this was removed because it produced too many false positives in the search results. I hope we can tackle this again in the future. In the meantime, we recommend enriching post titles with relevant keywords when needed. Thanks again for your suggestions!
