This would be very helpful in order to link to external documentation or also just to give a quick summary of how the feedback was taken and what was actually done.
If someone is curious about the released feature itself, they likely don’t want to read the full thread of how things started out - but rather what was done about it.
btw this summary description could simply be a comment pinned/marked as release note - and the documentation link could be a custom field (/field type)
Hi Bernhard, thanks a lot for the detailed description! I think that’s quite an interesting idea. I have been thinking about similar ones, but I’m hesitant to introduce a whole new information entity to the product, which would affect both board admins and visitors. One of Nolt’s strengths is its simplicity.

What do you think about using a custom field for that? The attached file shows how this could look like.
Yes totally agree. Simplicity is key. I was thinking just clicking on a comment on the thread and marking it as release note could be the easiest implementation for you (as you might just introduce a new property on the comment table ‘pin’ = ‘resolution/starred/release_note’). As moderator you might have a little pin icon at the top Of the comments - or in the (…) menu as edit/delete/pin.
Whatever is easiest for you. Custom field is fine too, but in my mind it’s important to also add images (attachments) and some basic formatting (lists etc) - all of which already exists on your comments. If that works for custom fields as well - great!

Custom text fields support the same Markdown styling options as in comments, which allows you to style your text any way you like. 💅
